Dear Customers,
We've got big news to announce about World Cup of Tea. With our lease coming up for renewal we began to think about a new direction for our store. As a result, we have decided to close the World Cup of Tea Store on February 10, 2012 and operate as a web-based company. Fear not, loyal customers--you will still be able to purchase your favorite teas and delicious desserts! Please visit us at www.worldcupoftea.com to purchase tea, and book catering. We are so pleased to have our general manager, Lindsey Brown, taking over the company and know that she will continue in the same tradition of quality and exceptional teas and food. (You can already buy our tea online, and catering information will be coming soon.)
In the meantime we have several things planned to end our time at the store. First, we will be having a customer appreciation and celebration open house Friday, January 27th and Saturday, January 28th. This will be a special time to thank all of you that have supported us with some great food and tea. These days will also serve as a kick off for our clearance sale. Our clearance sale will take place during normal business hours beginning Friday, January 27th and conclude on our last business day, Friday February 10th. All tea will be 15% off and all merchandise will be 50% off. We will also be selling furniture, holiday decorations, wall decor and cookbooks from Mrs. Rosemarys collection that served as the inspiration for many of our menu items.
We sincerely hope you can make it to our Customer Appreciation Open House as we do truly want to celebrate and appreciate you as you have supported us. We also hope you will allow us to continue to serve you with quality tea and delicious food through our website. As a part of our mailing list you will continue to receive our regular newsletter.

Dear World Cup of Tea Customers,
It was about four years ago that I received a call from Rosemary asking if I was interested in doing the baking for her at World Cup of Tea. Rosemary estimated that it might take me 10 to 12 hours a week and said I could set my own hours. I had been a stay at home mom of 17 years at that point, but having a love for creating in the kitchen I gladly accepted. I figured it would be a little extra spending money but never dreamed that World Cup of Tea would take the place that it has in my life today.
With Rosemarys guidance and encouragement my role expanded beyond the kitchen and into management. Having combined her passion for tea with the true gift of being an expert hostess, Rosemary has created an environment within World Cup of Tea that has for so many of us become an extension of home and family. Though the World Cup of Tea store is closing, with Rosemary's generous support and guidance I will assume ownership of our online store and plan to continue to offer the same fine quality Teas and Merchandise. We will also offer the ability for you to place catering orders for the tea sandwiches, desserts, etc. we have all come to know and love. Though not having a store front will be different, one thing that will not change is the quality of customer care and services we will provide. It is my hope and prayer that one day in the future there will be a physical store where we can all gather again. Until that time I hope that you will join me on this journey and allow us to continue to serve you. Complete information about available teas and catering will be available at the open house on January 27th and 28th. Please keep checking the website for updates and new additions.
